1. Who we are
MediaMiner ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Francesco Cifardi, acting as the data controller for personal data processed through the MediaMiner service. Contact: support@mediaminer.io.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email, login credentials, authentication identifiers.
- Content data: ideas, briefs, brand profiles, personas, uploaded files, and AI-generated outputs you create.
- Usage data: log data, device identifiers, IP address, browser, pages viewed, feature interactions.
- Support data: messages you send us.
- Billing data: processed by Paddle (see Section 5). We receive limited metadata such as plan, status, and country.
3. Why we process it (purposes & legal basis)
- Provide and operate the service — performance of contract.
- Authenticate and secure your account, prevent fraud and abuse — legitimate interests / legal obligation.
- Provide customer support — performance of contract.
- Improve the product and develop new features — legitimate interests.
- Send service-related communications — performance of contract.
- Send marketing communications — consent (you can withdraw at any time).
- Comply with legal, accounting, and tax obligations — legal obligation.
4. Who we share data with
- Subprocessors: hosting, database, file storage, analytics, email, and AI model providers that process data on our behalf under appropriate contracts.
- Paddle.com Market Ltd. — our Merchant of Record. Paddle processes all sales, subscriptions, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing. Paddle is an independent controller for that data. See Paddle's Privacy Policy.
- Professional advisers: legal, accounting, and tax advisers under confidentiality.
- Authorities: where required by law, court order, or to protect our rights.
5. Payments
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles checkout, payment processing, fraud screening, tax compliance, invoicing, and customer service inquiries related to billing. We do not see or store your full card details.
6. International transfers
Personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own. Where it leaves the UK/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
7. Retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. After account closure we delete or anonymise data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep records to meet legal, accounting, or tax obligations.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. UK/EEA users also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority. To exercise any right, email support@mediaminer.io. We respond within one month.
9. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege practices. No system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the service (authentication, session, security). We may also use limited analytics cookies to understand product usage. You can control cookies through your browser.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the service or by email. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
